  • 4 x 200g blocks dark chocolate, chopped










  • 2/3 cup thickened cream










  • 4 x 600g chocolate mud cakes with icing










  • 2 x 345g packets M&M’s (see notes)










  • 2 x 400g packets choc honeycomb, roughly chopped










  • 3 x 145g packets milk chocolate Darrell Lea Rocklea Road, roughly chopped










  • 220g packet chocolate coconut rough










  • 140g packet dark Maltesers










  • 140g packet milk Maltesers










  • 2 cups caramel popcorn










  • 136g packet fruit strings










  • 3 rainbow fruit salad roll-ups










  • 3 rainbow berry roll-ups









  • Select all ingredients










5 Method Steps






  • Place 1/2 the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the cream. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring halfway through, for 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth and combined. Set aside for 20 minutes or until mixture has thickened and is a spreadable consistency.





  • Meanwhile, cut an 8cm round from the centre of 2 cakes and discard. Place 1 uncut cake on cake board or serving plate. Top with 1 cut cake, pressing gently to secure (see notes). Place remaining cut cake on top, pressing gently to secure. Fill hole with M&M’s. Place remaining uncut cake on top to enclose, pressing gently to secure. Carefully trim edge of top cake, on an angle, to create a dome.





  • Reserve 3 pieces of chopped honeycomb and 2 pieces of chopped rocky road. Using chocolate icing and the picture as a guide, attach remaining honeycomb and rocky road, coconut rough, Maltesers and popcorn all over the outside of cake, leaving the top exposed.





  • Place remaining dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring with a metal spoon halfway through, for 1 to 2 minutes or until melted and smooth. Drizzle chocolate down the side of cake. Arrange fruit strings in the top of cake, spilling down the sides and securing with the chocolate.





  • Press skewers into the top of cake. Using the picture as a guide, drape the roll-ups over skewers to form flames. Press reserved honeycomb and rocky road pieces onto straws. Using the picture as a guide, press straws into the top of the cake. Serve.
