  • 180g white chocolate, chopped










  • 125g butter, chopped










  • 2 eggs










  • 155g (3/4 cup) caster sugar










  • 80ml (1/3 cup) orange juice










  • 1 tbsp finely grated orange rind










  • 100g (2/3 cup) plain flour










  • 75g (1/2 cup) self-raising flour










  • Candied orange peel (optional), to serve










  • Edible orange blossoms (optional), to serve


  • Orange drizzle










  • 80g (1/2 cup) icing sugar










  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh orange juice










  • 2 tsp finely grated orange rind









  • Select all ingredients










4 Method Steps






  • Preheat oven to 170C/150C fan forced. Grease a 16 x 26cm (base measurement) slice pan and line with baking paper, allowing the 2 long sides to overhang.





  • Place the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (don’t let the bowl touch the water). Stir with a metal spoon until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is well combined. Set aside to cool slightly.





  • Use a balloon whisk to whisk the eggs and sugar in a large bowl until the sugar is dissolved. Whisk in the orange juice and rind. Stir in the chocolate mixture. Sift over the combined flours and fold gently to combine. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until just set. Set aside to cool in the pan. Use the paper to lift out the slice and transfer to a wire rack.
