  • 1 egg, lightly beaten










  • 1 tbsp chilled water










  • 410g jar fruit mince










  • 2 tsp finely grated orange rind










  • 1 small green apple, coarsely grated










  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries










  • Icing sugar, to dust









  • Select all ingredients










6 Method Steps






  • Place flour, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter in a food processor. Process until fine crumbs form. With motor operating, add egg and enough chilled water until dough just comes together. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until just smooth. Shape dough into a disc. Wrap in baking paper. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  • Divide fruit mince evenly among pastry cases, pressing with back of spoon to level. Top each with a star. Gently press to secure. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until pastry is golden. Set aside for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
